Wild Bunch Catering started out over fifteen years ago as "Western Food" Catering. Lot's of Steak Fry's and smoked meats, cooking in Dutch ovens, flat top grill's, portable deep fryers and smokers of all shapes and sizes. Our local health department did not even have a category for the services we provided because it was out of the norm. We were traveling caterers that prepared, cooked and served on-site. Based out of someone else's restaurant (Buffalo Chip Saloon, Crazy Ed's Satisfied Frog and finally Kid Chileen's ) we went on like this for years. Now a days the Health Department calls them "Adventure Catering" … boy was it an adventure. Crafting our skills we joined a BBQ Club, took BBQ Classes from KCBS Pit Masters and just smoked our brains out (so to speak). Finally we thought we were ready to compete like the big guys. First Competition we got our butts kicked (no one told me you had to stay up all night) Second Competition was a Rib Fest Invitational at Cardinals Stadium where we took 3rd place State Champion for our Raspberry Chipotle rubbed St. Louie Ribs so now without hesitation we can proudly say...

Competition Style BBQ meats and side dishes still prepared old school... Low and Slow, cooking with cast iron cook ware and using high quality rubs, sauces, marinades. Catering is all we do while other places are trying to adapt their restaurant recipes for delivery and catering, we’re not adapting at all—because we’re caterers. Everything we chop, slice, dice, mince, tenderize, boil, simmer, prepare, cook, smoke and arrange we do with skill and ability . Time tested and skillfully developed methods of preparation, safe transportation and temperature control  are carefully monitored so your food is safe & delicious.

USDA Choice Boneless Rib Roast…

An excellent choice for a "prime rib experience" without the added cost of a USDA Prime rating. This is what we had been serving for years and mistakenly called it "Prime Rib". Smoked using Hickory - wood then hand carved under lights into mouth-watering 8 - 10  ounce portions. This is truly a wonderful selection I serve to family and friends often.
